I have to admit, this wine surprised me. I don't drink a lot of sauvignon blanc, but thankfully it was recommended to me (thank you!). I am so glad it was! Chateau Ste Michelle Sauvignon Blanc is a delightful, light bodied, fruit forward sauvignon blanc from Columbia Valley (picture me saying that with my pinky out for extra class). It is a great, refreshing summer wine. I can definitely picture myself sitting on a porch swing (or balcony swing for those of you who read my boxed wine review), enjoying this wine while sweating my face off because the south is hot as hell in the summer.

I know everyone enjoyed my discussion on geography in a previous post, so let's do that again. This wine is from Columbia valley in Washington State. That's it, that's all I have to say on geography. Here's a *map for geography enthusiasts.
Now that I have dazzled you with my geography knowledge, let's talk about the actual wine. The most striking thing about it is the fruitiness. It smells like peaches and tastes like peach, melon, and apple (I would say a granny smith apple, from **Publix). For those of you who do not care for sweet wines, don't be scared off when I say it is fruity. It does not taste like someone dumped a bucket of syrup in your glass, it is crisp and

tangy (like a a granny smith apple from Publix). Behind the fruit, is something else. I am thinking herbs, but probably just because it sounds better and slightly vaguer than saying soil or grass.
This is a very enjoyable wine, and I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for something refreshing to drink on a hot summer's day. You know, besides water.
I give this wine a 3.8 granny smith apples out of 5 🍏🍏🍏🍏

**Publix is a local grocery store. In case there is not one near you, think Kroger, Stop n' Shop, or where ever people buy food these days.
